Around 80 people suspected of food poisoning in Hani i Elezit
Around 80 people are suspected to have been poisoned after consuming fast food in Hani i Elezit.
The suspected food items linked to the cases are pizzas and sandwiches.
Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Ferizaj region, Kanun Veseli, told KosovaPress that from July 13 to July 15, around 80 people were treated with symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting.
“We inform you that, according to data received from the Main Family Medicine Center in Hani i Elezit, from July 13, 2026, to July 15, 2026, around 80 people were treated with symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. Relevant institutions, including the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK), have also been informed and are handling the case. These are the details received from the Family Medicine Center in Hani i Elezit. Meanwhile, we inform you that the Ferizaj Regional Police have not received any reports related to this issue so far,” Veseli said.
