An increase in capital investments is intended through the Draft Law on the support of public works
The Committee on Budgets, Labor and Transfers approved on Monday the Draft Law for the support of public works. This Draft Law was considered necessary and that creates facilities for capital investments by the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati. However, the opposition parties assessed it as late and with wrong specifications.
Minister Murati, justifying the Draft Law, said that it foresees an additional compensation of up to 20 percent for construction materials that have become more expensive as a result of inflation. He said that the same applies to previous contracts that were signed before April 1 of this year, since according to him, the economic operators have not completed the contracted works due to the increase in prices.
Thus, he emphasized that the approval of the Draft Law will increase the dynamics of works in public works. He said that compensation up to a maximum of 20 percent will be from the July of this year to June 2023.
