The Government of Kosovo announced that with the mediation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti and the support of the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Nicola Orlando and the Commander of KFOR, General Michele Risi, an agreement was reached on the design, construction and use of roads that pass through the Special Protective Zones of the Deçan Monastery.

This agreement was said to be the result of several months of discussions, but constructive and fruitful ones, between the Municipality of Deçan and the representatives of the Orthodox Church in the Monastery of Deçan.
