Albania and Kosovo intensify coordination for the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games

Fidel Ylli, President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee, hosted a significant working meeting with senior officials from international and regional Olympic institutions as part of the preparations for the organization of the “Prishtina 2030” Mediterranean Games.

The meeting was attended by Julian Pace Bonello, President of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games and President of the Malta Olympic Committee, Iakovos Filippousis, Secretary General of the ICMG, Ismet Krasniqi, President of the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, Vice President Milaim Kelmendi, as well as Drilon Brahimi, adviser to Kosovo’s Minister of Sports.

The meeting took place within the framework of inspections and coordination efforts for the preparations of the “Prishtina 2030” Mediterranean Games, an event considered historic for sports in Kosovo and the region. In this organization, Durrës will play an important role as a supporting city for the development of all water sports.

During the meeting, Fidel Ylli presented the developments and achievements of Albanian sports in recent years, focusing on the transformation of the Albanian National Olympic Committee and investments in sports infrastructure, organization, and international cooperation.

Julian Pace Bonello expressed his admiration for the hospitality and the progress of Albanian sports, praising the support and strategic cooperation for the success of the “Prishtina 2030” Mediterranean Games.

Meanwhile, Iakovos Filippousis praised Fidel Ylli’s contribution to strengthening cooperation among Olympic institutions and advancing sports in the region.

Ismet Krasniqi also appreciated Fidel Ylli’s continued support for Kosovo, emphasizing that his vision, energy, and dedication remain an inspiration for the Albanian sports community.

The meeting confirmed the close cooperation between Kosovo and Albania in organizing the “Prishtina 2030” Mediterranean Games, with the aim of turning the event into one of the most important sports organizations in the region and the Mediterranean.
