Afghans in Albania, Xhaçka: It is our duty to help our allies

In the first hours of Friday, the first 121 Afghan citizens who will be sheltered in Durres have arrived in Albania out of the 4,000 that official Tirana has accepted to shelter. They were received by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka, who stated that they had a moral obligation to help the allies, while present at the airport were also the US Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, leaders of the Armed Forces and the State Police.

Minister Xhaçka said that this is a really exciting moment after many intensive days of work and difficulties to bring Afghans to Albania and to keep them out of danger...
