Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, congratulated Veterans’ Day, saying that she bows with deep respect before the men and women who rose up when freedom was only a dream.
In her message, Osmani stated that the KLA (UÇK) veterans are proof that freedom is not given, but won with courage.
“Today, on the Day of KLA Veterans, we bow with deep respect before the men and women who rose up when freedom was only a dream. They became the shield of the people, the voice of the homeland, and hope in the darkest of times. KLA veterans are proof that freedom is not given, but won with courage and sacrifice. Their journey toward freedom was crowned with dignity and victory. Eternal glory to the martyrs of the nation. Perpetual honor to the KLA veterans,” the statement from President Vjosa Osmani reads.
