Kosovo national team has lost the chance for a historic appearance at the 2026 World Cup after being defeated by Turkey in the decisive play-off match, where the winner secured qualification.
According to the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, the Kosovo team’s performance was extraordinary, marked by strong effort, playing with heart, determination, and pride.
“An excellent effort from the Kosovo national team – played with heart, determination, and pride. What you achieved is truly outstanding and unforgettable,” the U.S. Embassy wrote on Facebook.
