Today, the Municipality of Obiliq elected the new Chairperson of the Municipal Assembly. With 11 votes in favor and none against, Sami Ahmeti was elected Chairperson of the Assembly. The Mayor of the Municipality, Halil Thaçi, also attended this extraordinary constitutive meeting.
“During the session, the voting process for electing the new Chairperson of the Municipal Assembly took place. With 11 votes in favor and none against, Sami Ahmeti was elected Chairperson of the Assembly,” the announcement states.
Meanwhile, during the session, representatives of AAK and the Serbian List left the meeting, while from the LDK only two members remained, with the rest of the group leaving.
According to the announcement, Mayor Halil Thaçi congratulated the new chairperson and emphasized the importance of cooperation, transparency, and the democratic functioning of the Assembly in the service of the citizens of the Municipality of Obiliq.
