Radoniqi calls on citizens to vote: We expect to announce preliminary results tonight

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, exercised his right to vote at the “Lidhja e Prizrenit” polling center in Peja.

Radoniqi stated that all polling stations opened on time and called on citizens to come out and vote to freely express their will, reports KosovaPress.

“This polling center in Peja has opened, and I believe that all other centers across the Republic of Kosovo have also opened by now. I invite all citizens to come out and vote, to exercise their right to vote, and to express their free will in these elections, for which the CEC has worked for six months. We have made numerous preparations, as there are changes in the process according to the law that came into force in 2023. We have improved the platform, and for these elections, we expect to announce preliminary results tonight, just a few hours after the voting process concludes. All municipal counting centers are equipped with counting devices, and we expect to begin the counting process for assembly members tomorrow.”

Radoniqi also mentioned that the CEC’s counting platform was supported by the British Embassy.

“We have the support of the British Embassy in developing the platform, and as far as the municipal centers are concerned, all preparations have been completed, and we expect the counting process to begin in all municipalities tomorrow,” he said.
