The chair of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, interrupted the session on Wednesday, July 23, stating that conditions were not met to continue. This happened after Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Ganimete Musliu took the microphone from Dehari.
Following Musliu’s action, Dehari announced the suspension of the session, which will resume on July 25 at 11:00 AM.
Earlier, Musliu spoke on behalf of the PDK to propose a member of the verification commission for the secret vote for the Assembly Speaker, but Dehari stopped her from speaking.
This led Musliu to approach the chair’s area and take the microphone away, stopping Dehari from speaking.
“Before I give the PDK’s proposal, I ask you, Mr. Dehari, if you still have any human decency,” she said.
Dehari emphasized that debate is not allowed during the constitutive session.
“There is no need for debate. The rules clearly state that there is no debate in the constitutive session,” he said.
After the dispute with Musliu, Dehari suspended the constitutive session.
“The session is suspended and we will meet on July 27 at 11:00 AM. There are no conditions to continue the session,” he said.
