Former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has commemorated the Battle of Loxha, describing it as one of the strongest testimonies of Albanian unity against the enemy and sacrifice for Kosovo’s freedom.
In a Facebook post, Haradinaj paid tribute to the Albanian fighters who took part in the battle, stressing that Loxha remains a symbol of resistance and unity.
“We honor forever the fight of the Albanian fighters in Loxha. Just as Albanians know how to unite against the enemy, so we were all together in Loxha,” Haradinaj wrote.
He expressed eternal respect for the martyrs Tahir Shala, Rrustem Bruqi, Enver Alaj, Lumni Surdulli, and Xhavit Qufaj, who, according to him, were immortalized in the foundations of Kosovo’s freedom.
Haradinaj also remembered the fighters Nimon Bajraktari, Haki Ahmetxhekaj, and Bashkim Mehmetaj, who fell while attempting to bring weapons for freedom, as well as fellow fighter Arsen Mazrekaj, who was killed on the same day.
“Glory!” Haradinaj concluded his message.
