Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Glauk Konjufca spoke about the meetings that Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti held with the leaders of the PDK and LDK.
Konjufca said that after Kurti’s meeting with PDK leader Bedri Hamza, it became clear that the party remains largely in positions it has held in the past, which, according to him, are outdated.
As for the meeting with the LDK, Konjufca said their impression is that this time there is a greater willingness to overcome the situation Kosovo is currently in.
He also spoke about developments within the Democratic League of Kosovo, saying that it is not his place to comment on or advise the party, as it is a party that has existed in Kosovo for a long time.
“Of course, the LDK has full autonomy to make decisions on its internal matters. We are not here either to comment on them or to offer advice, because the LDK is a party that has existed in Kosovo for a long time, and I believe they know how to resolve their own affairs. But as far as cooperation with us is concerned, it seemed to me that after Kurti’s meeting with Osmani and Abdixhiku, the nature of the discussion was different this time, and this has made us more optimistic that a solution can be found soon,” Konjufca said.
Konjufca also spoke about the AAK’s position, saying that although they refused to attend a meeting with Kurti, they gave their reasons and outlined the conditions under which they would be willing to cooperate.
