Besa Shahini, a member of the Social Democratic Party, has officially announced her candidacy for the local elections to be held this fall.
She declared her candidacy for mayor of Prishtina, as reported by KosovaPress.
“A new effort, for the Prishtina that I love dearly. Four years ago, I returned to live here from Tirana in a city that has extraordinary potential, but has taken a wrong direction in its development. It is a city completely covered in concrete, without enough green spaces, mostly dirty… I invite those of you who have even a little energy to join me in the effort for change,” Shahini said.
Besa Shahini served as minister and deputy minister in the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth in the Republic of Albania.
