An 86-year-old man was found dead in his home in the municipality of Rahovec on Wednesday.
The news was confirmed to KosovaPress by the police spokesperson for the Gjakova region, Sheremet Elezaj, who said that the case has been opened as a “death investigation.”
Elezaj stated that the case was reported at 8:35 a.m. on February 4, and medical personnel immediately confirmed the victim’s death.
By order of the State Prosecutor, the body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IFM) for an autopsy.
“Yesterday at 8:35 a.m., it was reported that a Kosovo Albanian male, born in 1940, was found dead in his home in Rahovec. Medical personnel confirmed the victim’s death. By order of the State Prosecutor, the body was sent to the IFM for examination by the forensic doctor, and a death investigation has been initiated,” Elezaj said.
The case is still under investigation.
