Vetëvendosje MP Artan Abrashi emphasized that their parliamentary group remains the only “reflective” and constructive political force. Following the 49th failed attempt to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo, Abrashi stated that VV is holding ongoing meetings with representatives of other political parties in search of a solution.
However, according to him, it is not solely VV’s responsibility to reach a consensus.
Earlier today, the 49th attempt to constitute the ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo also failed. The failure occurred due to the same issue as in previous attempts, the inability to establish the committee for secret ballot voting. Only 50 MPs voted in favor of establishing this committee.
The chairman of the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo, Avni Dehari, emphasized that the continuation of the next session will be held on Monday at 11:00. The previous continuations of the session to constitute the new legislature have failed because the coalition of Vetëvendosje, Guxo, and Alternativa does not have enough votes to elect the new Speaker of the Assembly.
