Today in Prishtina, the international fair “AGROKOS & Agrotourism” opened, which this year has gathered thirty-two businesses just in the pavilion of local producers.
The organizer, Bekim Xhafa, emphasized that this fair is an important platform for promoting local producers and developing the agro-business and agrotourism sectors in Kosovo.
In a statement to KosovaPress, Xhafa announced that in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment (MINT) and the Kosovo Agency for Investment and Enterprise (KIESA), a pavilion dedicated solely to local producers has been created.
“This is the 25th year that it is being organized today. We feel very good because within this fair we have created the pavilion for local producers, in cooperation with MINT and KIESA. We have managed to secure 32 businesses just in the pavilion of local producers. Meanwhile, the rest are trading businesses coming from Kosovo with foreign products, or companies coming from abroad. A total number of 130 businesses are represented directly and indirectly through local companies that have partnership agreements with foreign companies,” he said.
He added that the main focus of this fair is to create opportunities for local producers to expand both the domestic and international markets through exports.
“We will focus on these exhibitors, these companies, especially local producers, to find markets inside the country where they are not present, but also abroad through exports. It is important for us to identify their preliminary needs and within these needs to work individually to then bring qualified, selected visitors who have interest precisely in these companies and products. In this regard, AgroKos and its slogan is to grow our producing companies,” he added.
The “AGROKOS & Agrotourism” fair will be open today and tomorrow, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
