The acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, expressed his condolences to the family of the young man who lost his life in Lipjan, stating that no one is above the law and that anyone found guilty will face justice and receive the deserved punishment.
Sveçla wrote on Facebook that he was deeply affected by the news of the death of a citizen in Lipjan in the early hours of the morning.
He stated that as soon as he was informed of the incident, he requested an urgent and professional engagement from the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, as well as full cooperation from the Kosovo Police during the investigation.
“As part of this, investigations are already being conducted with maximum intensity. Cooperation between the Kosovo Police, the Police Inspectorate, the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and the Prosecution is crucial to fully clarify the circumstances of this serious incident. To the family of the deceased, I extend my most sincere condolences. I expect that the truth and all the circumstances will be clarified as soon as possible, and that the family and the public will be informed of all the findings and the outcome of this case. No one is above the law, and anyone found guilty will face justice and receive the punishment they deserve. The Kosovo Police, thanks to its professionalism, transparency, and dedication to serving citizens, continues to be the most trusted and credible institution in the country. This trust must be preserved at all costs and without sparing anyone, because public trust is not only a value but a necessity for the successful work of the Kosovo Police,” he wrote.
According to him, this trust will be preserved with determination through justice and accountability in every case.
