The Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has ordered the Kosovo Police Inspectorate to investigate any possible omission or involvement of Kosovo Police members in the criminal activity of Mefail Shkodra, wanted for the triple murder in Gjilan.
Sveçla stated on Facebook that he consistently demands maximum commitment from all structures to guarantee the integrity of every public servant. He said he remains uncompromising and supports inter-institutional coordination to ensure credible institutions. He stressed that no one is untouchable, especially in an institution tasked with preventing, investigating, and combating illegal activity, and called on the judiciary to act with the same determination.
On Sunday in Gjilan, three people were killed on “Ibrahim Rugova” street at around 12:30 p.m. In relation to the attack, police have declared Mefail Shkodra and his sons, Edonis and Engjull Shkodra, wanted.
