Activist and Kosovo Liberation Army veteran Shefki Sejdiu dies

The Shqiptaria Organization has announced that the devoted patriot, disabled veteran of the Kosovo Liberation Army war, and activist of the national cause, Shefki Sejdiu, has passed away.

According to the announcement, Shefki Sejdiu died on April 8, 2025, leaving behind an extraordinary contribution in service of freedom and the Albanian national cause. He was one of the founders of the Shqiptaria Organization and a well-known figure of national engagement since the 1990s.

The Shqiptaria Organization described his passing as a great loss for the Albanian nation, portraying Sejdiu as a symbol of resistance, sacrifice, and unconditional dedication to the homeland. Throughout his life, he was active both during the war period and in the challenging years that followed, always serving the national interest.

In its statement, the organization emphasized that his activity was more than a contribution—it was a life mission and a rare example of unwavering commitment to the national ideal.

The Shqiptaria Organization has expressed its most sincere condolences to the Sejdiu family, his fellow fighters, friends, and all those who knew and worked with him.

“His memory and legacy will live forever in the national consciousness,” the statement concludes.
