Five police officers have been injured and a Border Police car was damaged during an anti-smuggling operation in the north of the country. This is because the truck that was transporting the smuggled goods refused to obey the police orders for checking, forcing the policemen to use guns. Everything started in the evening hours of Saturday in the village of Jashanica in Leposaviq, while the border police officials noticed a truck suspected of smuggling goods and during the attempt to stop it, the police officials were hindered by two civilian vehicles. The police tried to stop the truck that was moving in the direction of the Mitrovica-Jarinje highway by blocking its way with two police cars with rotating lights. But the truck did not obey the orders to stop and drove at a higher speed, hitting an official police car.
