About 3 months without salaries, doctors and nurses engaged during the pandemic are "forgotten" by the state

Over 1,200 health professionals who were hired as support staff in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, who have not been paid for about three months, say they have no information as to why this is happening. The Kosovo Nursing Chamber, but also the Parliamentary Committee on Health are concerned about these non-payments. They are considering this action of the Ministry of Health as worrying and demotivating for young doctors and nurses.

Ilirjan Ademaj, since September has been engaged as a nurse in the intensive care unit at the Infectious Diseases Clinic. He says that counting the month of May, it is three months that they have not received a single cent for the services they provide. Speaking for KosovaPress, he says that despite the fact that they work without additional payment for working during weekends, nightshifts and holidays, but they are not even receiving the minimum salary offered to them...
