Abdixhiku's dismissal to be reviewed in accordance with Democratic League of Kosovo procedures, says Haziri
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) Vice President Lutfi Haziri said the request to convene an Extraordinary Assembly, submitted with signatures by several party members, will be handled in accordance with the party’s internal procedures and statute.
Haziri said the request is being processed procedurally and that the party secretariat is responsible for handling the matter. Asked whether the process could lead to the dismissal of LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku, Haziri said the question was prejudicial.
“It is being handled through procedural channels. Procedurally, it is the responsibility of the secretariat, in line with our internal political rules. I believe this is an issue regulated by the LDK statute, and the LDK knows how to manage this entire political process on its own. In the end, we will emerge stronger. You are prejudging us through your questions,” he said.
Haziri added that political requests are not dealt with solely through procedures, but stressed that the party’s rules would be fully respected.
“Political requests are not handled through procedures alone. However, since we have rules that regulate our conduct and organization, we will respect them fully. I believe the process will continue on two tracks: first, reviewing the request submitted by the signatories, who are delegates and representatives of the LDK electorate; and second, the LDK chairman and his office, which have full authority to manage these political processes. The request is procedural, and it will be treated accordingly. Political issues, meanwhile, will be addressed politically and jointly,” Haziri said.
Asked whether the submitted signatures had been verified, Haziri said that responsibility lies with the party secretariat.
