The Democratic League of Kosovo has started the new cycle of meetings with the experts of the 21 departments established at the beginning of this year at the meeting held by the LDK Presidency.

This cycle started with the Department of Defense, where the security situation in the country and the LDK projects in the "New Path" program were discussed.

Deputy Chairman, Anton Quni, who will lead the Department of Defense, stated that the topics of discussion were security issues, especially defense issues.

The Democratic League of Kosovo, through the "New Path" political program, has analyzed in detail the projects for the governing program. In the field of Defense, the LDK aims to develop the Armed Forces through personnel development, human resource management, development of the intelligence and security component, the field of military operations, the field of logistical support, planning, communication and training.

Whereas the main commitments of the Democratic League in the field of Defense are the partnership for peace and integration in NATO, increasing the budget to a full 2% of the value of the economy; in proportion to the member countries of NATO, namely the annual budget of 200 to 300 million euros each year; coefficient 135-150, which means an increase in the salary for ordinary soldiers from 616 euros as it is today to 840 euros; restructuring of the Force, through the increase of active soldiers from 4,000 to 6,000; 3000 active reserves and 20 thousand passive reserves; construction of 4 military barracks in Kosovo, namely in Prizren, Gjakova, Podujeva and Suhareka; construction of military quarters, capital investments of 50 million euros in total; in order to provide basic conditions for military personnel in the country.

This cycle of meetings of the LDK departments will continue in the following days.
