The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has said that no one dares to postpone the elections and no one dares to touch democracy. Abdixhiku says that the election numbers from the field seem to have terrified the government, as he said, incapable of governing well, and for what is being flirting with the idea of postponing the elections. The postponement of the elections, according to Abdixhiku, is an unprecedented, undemocratic measure of stifling the exercise of civic will. The leader of the LDK says that he has not yet received a response from Vetëvendosje to the proposal to shorten the campaign for local elections.
