A Turkish conglomerate buys ‘NewCo Ferronikeli’

YILDIRIM Group, an international conglomerate based in Turkey, has signed an agreement to acquire ‘NewCo Ferronikeli’, one of the largest Ferronikeli producers in Europe. All shares of ‘NewCo Ferronikeli’ were owned by the BALFIN Group. The announcement was made by the company, which says that all necessary measures have been taken for a smooth transition.

"NewCo Ferronikeli" is an important strategic asset for the Republic of Kosovo, and with a great impact on the macroeconomy. "NewCo Ferronikeli" was established in 1984 as a state-owned enterprise, with a complex that includes a plant for the production of Nickel in two lines as well as rich mineral reserves under the surrounding space. YILDIRIM has a special interest to engage in "NewCo Ferronikeli", as it has a concrete business plan to increase activity in the field of metals and mining, to build one of the best companies in Europe for the production of Nickel...
