A special department is required to protect the data in KAS
The Committee for Public Financial Oversight has reviewed the audit report on the performance of information technology in the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, governance, operations management and systems security. The Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, Ilir Berisha, reported on this report, who stressed that of the 16 findings of the auditor, nine of them are addressed and completed, three are in process, while four have not been addressed, as according to him it is not the competence of KAS to address.
Berisha stressed that all the findings of the auditor are expected to be fulfilled by next year, as he also pointed to the purchase of information technology equipment, such as computers and laptops for KAS officials, but not data security devices.
