Kosovo Customs has recorded a case of undeclared cash at the Jarinje Border Crossing Point.

During a control of a vehicle entering the Republic of Kosovo, customs officials asked the passenger whether they had any goods or cash to declare, and the answer was negative.

“After a detailed inspection of the vehicle and personal belongings, undeclared cash in the total amount of 10,173.60 euros was found, including euros and Serbian dinars, distributed in different parts of the vehicle and on the person in question,” Kosovo Customs said.

According to Kosovo Customs, the case has been forwarded to the competent units and an administrative fine has been issued. The customs investigation unit and the State Prosecutor have also been notified, while part of the money remains seized until the completion of the investigation.

Kosovo Customs reminds citizens and travelers that declaring cash when entering or leaving the territory of the Republic of Kosovo is a legal obligation, and failure to comply with these provisions results in administrative and legal consequences.
