A protest is held demanding the dismissal of the professor who was denounced for sexual harassment
The Student Feminist Movement, together with student activists, protested today in front of the rectorate of the University of Prishtina, demanding the dismissal of professor Xhevat Krasniqi, who was denounced for sexual harassment, as well as the dismissal of the members of the Ethics Council for not reacting to this case.
They also put-up banners with inscriptions quoting the professor: "When a woman is covered with a quilt, she loses her beauty", “You both have the same color of lipstick".
Anita Mjeku, an activist from the Feminist Movement, said that 27 students of the Faculty of Medicine have denounced professor Xhevat Krasniqi for sexual harassment, but that there was no reaction from the UP senate.
Mjeku has emphasized that today they will stay until 16:00 and that they will continue for the next few days until Professor Krasniqi is dismissed.
The activist students together with the Student Feminist Movement will continue to stay until 16:00 in front of the rectorate, until the end of the University schedule.
