Last night at midnight, the border police of Kosovo stopped a Mercedes-Benz in the village of Jashanica in the municipality of Leposaviq, which had moved from Serbia to the Republic of Kosovo, through unauthorized border crossing routes.

According to the Police, upon noticing that he was dictated to by the operators of the Rapid Intervention Unit, the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction. After checking the vehicle, it was confirmed that it was filled with food items and alcoholic beverages.

"The Kosova Police with its units are working diligently in the management and control of the border line, as well as the prevention of criminal offenses related to smuggling or unauthorized crossings of the state border. In relation to the case, the relevant units were informed and the vehicle was sent to the Customs Terminal for further legal procedures", reads the Police communiqué.
