A person was wounded today (Thursday) near the court in Gjakova, and was sent for medical treatment to the regional hospital of this municipality.

The spokesperson of the Police for the Gjakova region, Sheremet Elezaj, informed KosovaPress that the incident happened at noon.

"Today around 12:21 we received information that a person was wounded on the road 'Bardhyl Qaushi' - Gjakova. The police units immediately went to the scene where it is suspected that an adult person was shot with a firearm. The wounded was sent to the Regional Hospital of Gjakova", he said.

According to Elezaj, the condition of the victim is currently stable (out of danger to life).

He said that the case is being investigated.
