A grave but manageable pandemic situation with COVID-19 in the Mitrovica region, but manageable
The general situation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the Mitrovica region, which includes the municipalities of Skenderaj and Vushtrri, is grave, but nevertheless manageable. Since the beginning of this year only in the municipality of Mitrovica, 5 thousand 228 citizens have tested positive for COVID-19, of which about 4 thousand have recovered, while 72 people have lost the battle with this virus.
Acting director of the General Hospital "Sami Haxhibeqiri" in Mitrovica, Luljeta Zhubi, told KosovaPress that in this hospital, out of 100 beds provided for patients with this disease, 40 percent of capacity always remains unused.
