A day after the meeting at the level of chief negotiators in Brussels, the ruling party, Vetëvendosje Movement, is accusing Serbia of a destructive approach to the dialogue. According to them, despite the meetings within the dialogue, progress will be small due to Serbia's sabotage of the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohrid annex. On the other hand, those familiar with the dialogue process say that the implementation of the agreement will be difficult this year, when it is known that Kosovo is in an election year and the European Union is in the transition phase of choosing new leadership structures.

The MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Driton Hyseni, tells KosovaPress that the reason yesterday's meeting between the chief negotiator of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi and his counterpart from Serbia, Petar Petkovic, was not successful is because Serbia does not want to implement the basic agreement in its entirety, but only requires the establishment of the Association.

He asks the European Union to convince Serbia to implement the Brussels agreement on the basis of a balanced sequence.

Meanwhile, former diplomat, Blerim Canaj, says that with yesterday's meeting at the level of the chief negotiators in Brussels, the terms of Prime Minister Albin Kurti presented last week have dropped.

According to him, there may already be high-level meetings, but progress will be minimal because neither party wants to implement the agreement.

On Wednesday in Brussels, a meeting was held at the level of the chief negotiators in the framework of the dialogue. Despite the long meetings, the parties did not agree on the implementation of the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex.

After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said that it is necessary to formalize the agreement through its signature. He accused Serbia of not wanting to talk about the sequencing of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement, but insisting only on the establishment of the Association.

Last week, separate high-level political meetings took place in Brussels, but there was no meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Kurti presented three conditions, the signing of the basic agreement, the withdrawal of the letter of the former prime minister of Serbia, Ana Bernabic addressed to the EU, and the handover of Radoicic to Kosovo. According to the head of government, these are guarantees for good faith in the dialogue process.
