The rapid spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19 has also affected the Kosovo Correctional Service. Currently, 28 correctional officers are infected. Visits to prisons have recently been banned, but there is one inmate who has tested positive for the disease. However, 90% of them are vaccinated, and also 95% of the staff in correctional centers are immunized.
