About six million people in Europe suffer from epilepsy. Men are most affected, but this disease does not make big differences in age, gender and race. On the International Day Against Epilepsy, the Kosovo Anti-Epilepsy Association reported on the number of people who developed epileptic syndrome during the pandemic. The chairwoman of the association, Valbona Govori-Berisha emphasized that every year, on the second Monday of February, this international day is marked, which aims to raise awareness about epilepsy worldwide. She added that people who have this disease, suffer from anxiety and depression. Both of these manifestations appeared more during the time of the pandemic.
