6 deaths and 587 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Kosovo, reports the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK). During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with RT-PCR method, as well as public and private laboratories with RAT method, were tested a total of 2,813 samples taken from UCHSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which 587 cases resulted positive. Within 24 hours 6 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Dragash 1 case (62 years old), Gjilan 1 case (56 years old), Prishtina 1 case (66 years old), Skenderaj 1 case (66 years old), Suhareka 1 case (70 years old), Year 1 case (65 years old). The total number of positive cases is 73,635 out of 332,713 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,655. During the last 24 hours, 212 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 62,198 cases, while the number of active cases is 9,782.
