5-year-old from Lipjan undergoes surgery
The Pediatric Clinic has announced that a 5-year-old boy from Lipjan has undergone surgery.
According to Kosovo Hospital and University Clinical Service (ShSKUK), the boy is currently hospitalized in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
“The 5-year-old patient today underwent the necessary surgical intervention at the level of the feet, performed by specialized teams from Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery. The procedure has just been completed and was carried out according to medical indications. During the surgical procedure, the patient’s condition was stable,” the announcement on Facebook states.
It was also noted that after the procedure, the patient was transferred to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where he continues to receive treatment, monitoring, and postoperative care.
Due to the sensitivity of the case, ShSKUK stated that this is the information that can currently be provided.
“For any further updates regarding the patient’s condition, the media and the public will be informed only through the Information Office at ShSKUK. At the same time, we emphasize that professional medical teams are providing maximum care and the necessary treatment in accordance with medical protocols. For this reason, we ask the media to understand and refrain from applying pressure for additional information, requests for interviews, or other forms of direct communication, as any official information from the Pediatric Clinic will be shared only through the Information Office at ShSKUK,” the statement concludes.
