The Kosova Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Academy of Sciences of Albania held the scientific conference "Development of Albanian constitutionalism 1912-2024". On the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitutional Declaration of July 2, the then MPs of the Assembly of Kosovo have told about the conditions in which they gathered and that they were surrounded by police forces and the Serbian secret service.

The then Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Iljaz Ramajli emphasized that the Constitutional Declaration of July 2 was preceded by complete Albanian unification.

Muharrem Shabani, who read the Constitutional Declaration of July 2, emphasized that the then assembly was held in extraordinary conditions and under the siege of the Serbian secret services.

In this scientific conference, he added that the Constitutional Declaration was the starting point for the constitution and the referendum.

About the drafting and approval of the Constitution of Kosovo on September 7, 1990, spoke Ismet Salihu, who said that during two months they worked only at night and illegally.

34 years ago, the Constitutional Declaration of July 2, 1990 was approved, which was announced by the delegates of the Assembly of Kosovo. This is the act that marked the historical institutional step of Kosovo's independence. The adoption of the Constitutional Declaration took place in extraordinary conditions, surrounded by the Serbian police force.
