Twenty-seven years ago, one of the largest massacres against Albanians in Kosovo by the regime of criminal Slobodan Milosevic began at the Dubrava Prison.

Inside the prison, 160 Albanian prisoners were killed and more than 300 others were injured.

The Dubrava Prison Massacre took place from May 19 to May 24, 1999.

Inside Dubrava Prison, there is a memorial plaque bearing the names of all those killed in the massacre, which is considered one of the largest massacres carried out by the Serbian regime against Albanians.

No one has yet been convicted for this massacre.
