Today marks 26 years since the signing of the Peace Agreement for Bosnia and Herzegovina, known as the Dayton Agreement. The agreement was signed at the Wright Peterson US military base in Ohio on November 21, 1995. One of the main principles of the agreement was the division of BH into two parts, 51 per cent of the territory for the Federation of BH and 49 per cent for the Republika Srpska. The signatories pledged to regulate bilateral relations under the Charter of the United Nations, the Helsinki Final Act and other OSCE documents, as well as mutual respect for sovereignty and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
