Kosovo commemorates today the 24th anniversary of the Reçak Massacre, where over 45 innocent Albanian civilians were killed. The former head of the OSCE monitoring mission in Kosovo, Ambassador William Walker, described the Reçak Massacre as a crime against humanity.

On January 15, 1999, 45 unarmed Albanians were barbarically killed and massacred in the village of Reçak.

In the early hours of the morning of January 15, Reçak woke up surrounded. According to the witnesses, around 6:30 Serbian forces with heavy artillery started bombarding the village. After the bombing stopped, Serbian forces entered the village and began raids...
