On August 26, 1998, Serbian artillery killed 11 members of the Asllani family, in Rance of Shtime, 8 of whom were children of different ages, and three women.

In this painful event, lost their lives: Jalldyze Asllani (1934), Halide Asllani (1963), Ajshe Asllani (1971), Burim Asllani (1985), Lumnije Asllani (1986), Ejup Asllani (1988), Luljeta Asllani (1991), Shpend Asllani (1993), Xhafer Asllani, (1995), Antigona Asllani (1997) and Albiona Asllani (1998).
