12 persons have been detained for abusing their official position and taking bribes
The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj has announced that 12 suspects have been arrested, among them four forestry technicians, four forest rangers and four citizens from the municipality of Ferizaj, who have been detained for 48 hours. According to the prosecution, in October 2020, from a whistleblower of the Institution of the Municipality of Ferizaj, thez received information that the criminal offense of "Abuse of official position or authority" and "Bribery" is being committed by the officials of the Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in the municipality of Ferizaj.
After evaluating this information, the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, the Department of Serious Crimes, together with the Directorate of Economic Crimes in Prishtina and the Economic Crimes Unit in Ferizaj, the Prosecution has considered that there should be covert technical surveillance measures and investigation.
