A woman who may have been the oldest person in Kosovo has died in Pristina.

She was Xhezide Hajdini, originally from Gllogovica village in the Gollak region. Official records listed her as 106 years old, but according to her family, she had been registered six years later than her actual birth date.

Her granddaughter, Gane Hajdini, shared the news, while a family member, Asllan Dibrani, said that according to family memories, accounts from elderly relatives, and stories passed down through generations, the great-grandmother was around 112 years old.

Although she died in Pristina, where she had spent the final years of her life, she had left a wish to be buried in her native village of Gllogovica, a request that was fulfilled.
