Veteran's Day today is marked with several activities
Municipal institutions and organizations of of war veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) have organized several activities to mark Veteran's Day. According to the Law on KLA War Veterans, Veteran's Day is marked on December 30, to commemorate the sacrifice, commitment and contribution of veterans in bringing freedom and independence to the people of Kosovo. Also, on December 30, 1991, the Jashari family began to confront the Serbian military forces in Prekaz, from where the KLA military resistance began.
The Municipality of Skenderaj together with the Associations of War Veterans, on the anniversary of the first attack on the Jashari family, also Veteran's Day, will honor the fallen heroes
