In the unit for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 within the Pediatric Clinic, until mid-December, 71 patients were treated, mostly all of them overcame the virus with mild symptoms. The fight with the coronavirus lost only one child who also had other concomitant diseases. Despite these cases with coronavirus from this clinic they say that it has not stopped other hospital services. The director of the Pediatric Clinic, Drita Telaku, in an interview for KosovaPress has shown that children who are being infected with COVID-19, are mostly going through it with mild symptoms and do not need hospital treatment. As of mid-December, at our Clinic there were 71 patients affected by COVID who sought hospitalization. Thankfully most of them are doing well, but they needed hospital treatment. Of all the children (infected) that we had, there was a child who had a serious chronic disease and that child lost the battle with the virus", she said.
