​The Human Rights Committee summons the Ombudsperson to report

The Committee for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions, has decided in today's meeting to summon the Ombudsperson, Naim Qelaj, to report on the selection of his 5 deputies after receiving 4 complaints regarding with this process. The members of the commission agreed that at the end of this week the Ombudsperson should report to the commission and seek a legal opinion from the Assembly on some of the complaints, and then, if necessary, summon the persons who have complained. The Chairperson of the Committee, Duda Balje, proposed that the Ombudsperson be summoned to the committee and that a legal opinion be sought from the Assembly on some of the complaints, while mentioning the nature of the complaints addressed to the committee. This proposal was also supported by the member of the c​committee from LVV, Saranda Bogujevci, who said that there should be a legal interpretation regarding a part of the complaint.
