​The Government approves the increase in pensions for categories emerging from the war

The Government of Kosovo, in a meeting held today, has decided to increase by 20 percent the pensions of categories emerging from the war.

Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that all pensions of categories emerging from the war will increase by 20 percent.
While for those families that have more than one person, will increase over 20 percent.
Murati emphasized that the category of war veterans and victims of sexual violence will also have an increase by 20 percent above the current amount.

“Family pensions for families of KLA martyrs will increase, starting from a family that has one martyr, there will be an increase of 20 percent, two or more martyrs the increase will be more than 20 percent. The same will be for pensions for families of KLA missing persons. Also pensions for KLA invalids will increase by over 20 percent in all categories, as well as allowances and care for assistance for KLA invalids. Also family pensions after the death of a KLA invalid will increase by 20 percent. The same goes for families of civilian missing persons, as well as personal disability pensions for civilian war invalids, pensions for all categories will increase by 20 percent. It is worth noting that the category of war veterans will also increase by 20 percent, as well as victims of sexual violence by 20 percent above the current amount," said Murati.
