False money has continued to circulate in Kosovo during the past year as well. Although, according to the Kosovo Forensic Agency, there was a decrease in the number of counterfeit money in 2022 compared to the previous year. The 100-euro denomination was the most counterfeited banknote, whereas the 2-euro denomination was the most counterfeited coin.

The senior specialist for documents and manuscripts at the Kosovo Forensic Agency said that in 2022 there were about 800 counterfeit banknotes and over 10 thousand metal coins...
