The acting government of Kosovo today approved the decision to appoint the General Director of Kosovo Police Samedin Mehmeti, who until now had been acting director of police since the dismissal of Rashit Qalaj. "The incumbent government has proposed to Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti the appointment of Samedin Mehmeti, General Director of the Kosovo Police. The decision will enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo ", it is said in a press release. This decision comes about three months after Mehmeti took office as general director.
