There are 38 municipalities in our country, while only 15 mayors out of 28 who had confirmed their participation were present today at the meeting called by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the Minister of Local Administration and Power, Elbert Krasniqi. After the two-hour meeting, Krasniqi said that the specific problems of the municipalities were discussed.

Meanwhile, when asked if the process for the resolution of the mayors of the municipalities in the north of the country is being delayed, Krasniqi emphasized that such a thing is not happening according to him. He emphasized that all the signatures that requested the removal of the chairman from the position have been submitted to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), for which he added that it is up to them to make a decision.

Krasniqi appreciated the fact that for the first time 742 million euros have been allocated for the local level as important, for which he hopes that the projects will directly affect the lives of citizens.

Meanwhile, before the closed meeting between Kurti, Krasniqi and the mayors and representatives of the municipalities, they were told that among the main issues that will be discussed are the population census and the problem with stray dogs.
